Also picked up a
Standard shift knob a couple years back and have decided to try and do some makeshift modifications to the knob itself so that I can use it on Izzy (Who is an auto).
Already have some ideas.. The main of which being that I get something like a copper pipe that would be able to fit inside of the knob while also being able to nicely fit over the shaft so that I can use a "Push down" movement in order to shift gears.
I've already gotten out my calliper and the knob is pretty much just 2mm bigger than the shaft, so shouldn't take much to make it work.
I just don't really like the stock shifter knob and have been looking for a project to do for the longest time! Will definitely upload pics when I am done to show you guys how it turned out.
