i'm guessing since you were doing electrical work, you had your battery disconnected. when you reconnected the battery it reset the PCM and it now has to "re-learn" your driving habits. same thing happened to mine after i switched batteries.

depending on how you drive, the PCM will adjust to your habits. if you're a spirited driver, then over time it adjusts the pressure on the tranny and you get that nice quick snap shift. drive it the same way you normally do and it'll eventually learn your driving habits again.

or just install a B&M shiftplus and it'll shift even quicker.
