The hyper flashing is because the LED is so low resistance the computer thinks the bulb is out. A load resistor in parallel will fix that problem. If you go LED for everything you CAN NOT (well, you could, but it will look awful) go all white. You need red for the rear lights, and amber for the front. Some pics from my first alero for reference below, its not bad, but I prefer the incandescent bulb look.
Also, I have purchased many, many ebay bulbs and they are alright but after a few months individual diodes will start to go out, sometimes flickering for a while before they do. Every now and they you get one that lasts a long time. That being said if you go that way order bulk. Or if you want bulbs you'll never have to worry about spend the money and do it right.
