I'm pretty sure i'll be ok with both styles because what i was told by the state police is that there had to be red showing and reflecting, they didn't say anything about amber or white, as for the side lights I'm assuming that they can be tinted, after all they will show through the tint when illuminated, but i'll talk to the staties again, and if not then ill leave a spot the size of the bulb :P
As for painting lines, i originally wanted to steal whiterider's idea
but that would be illegal because of full tint, and it would look rather silly if i left red in that design
