Talking My new daily!

Figured i may as well make it official.

today i met up with the kid for the red alero i previously posted about. And well, i now own it!!!! Couple signatures and 150$ later, the car became mine, cant be more happy about this deal. Been wanting another alero for a daily for awhle, but never could get one for a decent price every random time i would look.

Funny thing is we settled on 150$ without the radio. He was going to remove it, but then told me he didnt want to go through the hassle. So i got to keep the radio and pay the same price.

I have to say, it was worth waiting. Paying 150$ for a running car. Ill take it! Told me fuel pump as been recently replaced. So thats a plus! Other then that i dont think they have had many issues with it.

I do know it has an oil leak, im thinking the oil pan. I just need to lift the engine up a bit and change it out and that should be all good.

The driver side wheel was hit by a median. So things got pretty messed up on the driver wheel.

Parts it needs (driver side)

- lower control arm.
- inner tie rod.
- outter tie rod.
- wheel bearing.
- front sway bar.
- rim.
- tire.

The MAYBE that could need replaced but wont know until i pull everything apart...

- axle.
- strut.

Now i did some digging last night on rockauto. If i went the cheapest route on every part i need (minus rim, tire, axle, strut and oil pan gasket) it will only cost me 135$ to get the car fixed myself.

Potential future mods. Keep in mind this will basically be my beater. So it wont get a bunch of money in performance. But i may...

- tint windows.
- hids.
- paint headlights.
- exhaust.
- pacesetter headers. (If my plan goes through, ill be replacing my pacesetter headers that are currently on the black car for MMS headers.) so if i do replace them, my old headers will maybe be sold or thrown on the daily for fun.

- throttle body.
- egr delete.
- no cat. (Maybe)
- ported UIM/LIM.

tinted windows would be my first thing to do, aside from that idk when i will do everything else. But im looking forward to getting this car back in shape.

She has 155k miles on her 3400 engine, cloth interior, no sun roof, etc. gauge cluster lit up like a christmas tree. Lol

The kid plasti-dipped the tails black, and one tail is busted. So depending on the shape of the lights i may also replace those. (Keep them un-tinted) but should be fun! Just here to share this with you guys!

Hell i MAY even plasti dip the whole car black just so i have 2 black 4 door aleros. Haahaha
