Ignition Electrical Gremlin (need confirmation)

Hi all I have a 2001 Alero with a very unique issue. When the car gets to operating temp, the car will not shut off. Even when I turn the key and remove it. It used to only happen when the A/C was on, so I uplugged the compressor, which seemed to fix the problem. Then it started again. I have replaced the ignition switch, as well as placed a diode on the wire that gets plugged into the A/C compressor. The engine cuts off only when I remove the relay for the radiator fan.

Is it possible that the radiator fan is causing electrical backflow that keeps the engine going? After doing some research that seems to be the only conclusion that I could be coming to. Would placing another diode somewhere on the electrical circuit for the radiator fix it? Has anyone ever heard of this kind of issue before?
