NGK, I believe make AC Delco plugs. 03glgold also stated this earlier in this thread. Maybe you had used another plug? I have run NGK copper, platinum, and iridium on my Ecotec Alero, and have never had issues with them. Copper just require more of a regular maintenance, but I always changed the copper ones before I had any issues.

If you want. That is what I am using on my Ecotec Alero, and I have had zero issues. Also, after many plug failures on his motorcycle, my dad switched to NGK Iridiums, and has yet to replace them.
