It doesn't help a boosted 60V6 either. We have tested it in multiple vehicles within the 60V6 community, all with the same results. No hp. Smoother idle, better mpg, no power or improved track times.
Magnecor wires and proper plugs are all you need for these engines. I can't speak for the 4 cylinders, so I haven't bothered with your thread.
