This is why you always keep a good old trusty paper map in your car. Just in case lol. I had a similar problem back when I had my Intrigue. The guy who owned it before me had wired up some aftermarket fog lights and every once in a while when you would flip the kill switch for it, the car would blow a fuse and completely shut-off.

Had it happen going 55 on the highway once and the steering wheel locked up when it happened. Thankfully I was able to still pull off the highway safely and swap it out with a new one. I just drove around with extra fuses in my car all the time so I was always ready. Weird thing though is when I swapped those fog lights out for new ones, I never had that issue again.
