I have to agree with 3.4, chances are they are not going to take the engine, down especially if it is warrenty, they are just going to swap it out, with a reman.
Also the idication of NOS looks almost identical to a lean condition in the motor which is errosion on the tops of the pistons. This can be attributed to several other things than NOS.
Take it in, have your reciepts from oil changes, and get your new motor.
Oh yeah but take the NOS kit off if you have one, also CAI and exhaust, as in these 4 bangers given the right conditions with those mods, CAI and exhaust, can run really lean, and yes GM knows this and that can be deemed the cause of engine failure thus not covered under warrenty.
