I race because it is the purest test of man and machine, and nerve. You can push your car safely to the limit and beyond (on a track). I've only had the chance to run my Alero on the straight track, buy I have put my rx-7 on a road course, and that was the most incredible experience. I didn't race for points or position, it was on open track night. It makes watching racing on tv a more real experience. You can understand what they are talking about when they are talking about apexes and braking zones, etc.
