Reset my PCM

While changing my broken alternator the car has been 4 hours without power because i disconnected the battery of course.
Well i am happy my stock radio is still working after that and not getting in "stolen" mode lol!
Well, i have a haynes manual and found in the battery diconnecting part some notes about losing all PCM memory values, and the pcm needing some re-programming (wich it can do itself BUT there is a setup note . . .)

Here is how to re-program your pcm:
After connecting the battery run the engine in idle until it reaches normal operating temperature.
Then run it approximately 2 minutes at 1200RPM
Next drive more than 5 miles in various conditions to complete the re-learning process.

well i did like the manual said,
My car was shifting rough, kickdown hesitated and was slow, idle at 750rpm,
and after this process, really a lot more power, smooooth shifting, and a really fast kickdown reaction, and idle at 550rpm.

I noticed during the two minutes @ 1200 rpm that the pcm was learning, the rpm's fluctuated a little, but after these two minutes she was rocksteady, same as in idle.

I am almost happy my alternator broke, otherwise i haven't found this trick in the book.
She's running better than ever now.
