LS6 Valve Springs
I am getting ready to change out my intakes and figured it would be worth taking a look at replacing my valve springs will LS6 one's. I have around 76,000 miles on it and down the road I will be spraying the car with a wet shot NOS kit. Anyone have a suggestion if I should change them or will the stock one's hold?

LS6 springs will work.
what size is the shot? 65?
NOS will tear up your motor slowly if its not built for it.

Well I was looking at adjustable 100 shot. I don't plan on spraying all the time. I was told with full exhaust with headers, ported intakes, and upgraded valve springs I should be just fine with Nitrous. I do have all those parts minus the valve springs.

Yeah now I just have to figure out what kit will work on this car.
I would never run a NOS kit on a stock car.

You do know that the LS6 springs don't drop right in, right?
They don't fit on the stock spring seat/seal.

Yeah I do know you have to replace the seals and seats with a ls1 setup. Wot-tech has all that stuff so I will buy it all together.

Well I know I am going to spray my car probably this spring. It's instant HP in a bottle. Why not do it?

you're engine won't like it, now matter how much you build it up. But anything you do race-wise your engine will hate, so if that's what you wanna do enjoy.

I think of Nos as a cheat for cars I rather have a car running for example.. 600 HP all motor instead of like 500 HP to the wheels And a 100 shot to make it 600 only for when you use it.
Plus I wouldn't want a mod done on my car I have to keep paying to fill back up. Here its 45$ to fill up for a 10lb bottle.
To me I just rather buy something I can throw on the car not press a button and get HP out of it everytime I drive it instead of that 10 seconds I want the extra 100 HP when putting the pedal down.
Just my opinion.
Also forged internals is really your best bet when running Nos.

I have to disagree. A bone stock motor will run a 100 shot no problem if you have the fuel and spark done right. Its been done. For continuous use, then upgrades should be considered for longevity but you aren't going to bend a rod or crack a piston unless you are careless with the tune.
LS6 springs will let you rev higher before valve float. I would upgrade anyway but its not necessary for nitrous.
