Cd Player

Hello All...I'm fairly new to this board. Only had my alero for about a month now. red coupe '93. 6 cyl. i was wondering if the cd player ever flashes the names of songs thats playing on the cd? i can't get it to do that. it only says track 1 etc.

how do you have a '93 alero?? anyways.... the whole time i had my factory deck in which was 3 months, i never got the thing to display anything but the track numbers so you'll more than likely have to get a new deck

The Alero was first manufactured for model year 1999.

2004 was Oldsmobiles' last year.

He probably ment '03 but hit the "9" key seeing as though its right next to the "0." :rolleyes:

If it won't display the names of songs, radio stations, ext.... Then your stock deck probably didn't come with the ability to.

03's should display radio data, but not cd text.

On 2004 Alero's. The RDS was only availible (standard fair infact) on GL1, GL2, and GLS. The GX didn't come with RDS. So I would imagine 2003's were somewhere along those lines.

well he has a GL2 or GLS, so he should get radio data... but like i said, if he's expecting cd text, he's not gonna get it.
