Is there any way to modify the shift points in the transmission (2002). It likes to jump out of overdrive and back to a lower gear too easily it seems to me

thats because 4th gear is made extra tall so it can be at the lowest logical rpm while cruising its not a accelerating gear, your car doesn't make a whole lot of power at that low of a rpm....its for better gas mileage. thats all 4th gear is for. could also be your torque convertor unlocking, just because the rpm's jump doesn't mean it downshifted.

dhp makes a powertuner software program in which you can edit everything about the way your car drives.

i believe its $399, and will work for 2 cars in which they support....most people use it for performance enhancing reasons though

I had that exact same problem with my '01, but the dealership said it was fairly normal. So to prove them wrong I made them take me out with another one, which did not do it. Then they blamed it on my K&N, then threw this at me and told me Too Bad, So Sad!

I have not put it in my '04 yet and not had any problems.
