edit: turns out the hub is bad, how do i find out which hub without paying a dealership $75 to say "left" or "right"?
so im driving to forest lake about a hour away. i hear some crackling, my right front speaker stops working.
about 10 minutes later, i notice my "abs/trac-off/service vehicle soon" lights are on. im not sure how long they had been on, since it was so sunny it was washing my whole display out.
im thinking, GREAT now i need a new wheel hub (common problem im sure most of you know), and somthings wrong with my stereo
i get to where im going, go to leave, and the lights all come back on. i go to the gas station, fill up, re start the car, lights come back on, this time my abs engages for no reason while driving right before the lights come on.
then i get home, go out to my car. i figure ill look at the stereo first since it probably easier fixed and will put me in a little better mood. pop open the trunk, pull back the carpet. notice one of my crossovers that was double taped to the inside rear fender let go of the tap, and pulled itself out of the wires. so i reconnected it, and re-mounted it.
then i go to bring my car into the garage to jack it up, the lights never came on. so i took it for a spin, stopped a few places. drove about 20 minutes with 3 restarts, they never came back on
so maybe my hub is going bad, and its just a wierd coincidence. but right when my speaker disconnected itself, the lights came on. and were on for 3 restarts. when i fixed the speaker, they stayed off for three restarts......
wierd huh?
my radio is all aftermarket, cd/amp/speakers. the 4 wires that were going up to the doors (2 for the woofer, 2 for the tweeter) are original though.
