I have the same issue. My insurance ded is $250. I have to look around for a place that'll knock the ded or replace it cheaper. Yeah you'll just havet o look around at different places and find the right price. Make sure it's an OEM windshield and not an aftermarket one. They don't fit right.

EDIT: This was pretty easy, we just did one on a 99 alero yesterday. Parts, labor, and installation came out to be $421.99 exactly. I'm not sure if that is high or what but that sounds about right. I hope that gives you an idea anyway

Wow, $400 is HIGH. I just priced out three places today on my lunch.
1st: $265 with moldings and labor
2nd: $199 " " " "
3rd: $234 " " " "
If you go through insurance you might be able to get it done cheaper. I have a $250 ded and the cheapest so far was $100 off the ded and that leaves me with $150 for the windshield.

Britt had one do that for his 240, the guy went to his work and did it. He did an awesome job too. If you're from the Metro Detroit area, I recommend Elite Auto Glass.

I'm not sure, Britt has 0 ded for windshield so it was free for him. I'd call and ask places.

I just had my windshield replaced before A.S.S, and only cost me 175.00 and I didn't go through my insurance. And that price is in U.S currency

yea those it doesn't cost 400 bucks for a windshield. At the most 150-200.
My bro's alero before we had a friend phone in cuz he works at the dealer for us to some glass place. an OEM replacement with molding for $150 bucks.
Here in dallas they have a place that has a windshield over stock sale. Most vehicles are $125 bucks with PPG brand glass w/molding. installed and lifetime warranty.

I deal with a glass company locally who comes to the house to install our windshields. I think anywhere around $250 installed would be accurate.
