Amp Install
I haven't ordered them yet, but i'm soon to be picking up a pair of SoundStream PCC.6 speakers for my front doors. (i know some fabrication will be required) but i'm more concerned with what i'm going to do in the trunk.
I already have an amp box 2x10" Fosgate HE2s with a cap and their amp. (mounted to the back of the box) and i'll be adding another 4 chan 400W amp. For the front and rears. Fronts definitely (why buy good speakers and underpower them?) and rears... just cuz its a 4 channel and i'll have 2 channels unused. I'd bridge them, but i'm gonna be putting out like 100W already, and i don't want to blow the front ones.
SO...
1)I'm guessing the amps won't fit in the spare wheel compartment (one thats being added is 17"x13") and the other is about the same size. so i doubt those will fit? Right?
2) How should i set up the amps then? have the amp box in the center and two angled panels going over near the rear wheels then mount the amps on each?
I know some guys on here have some real elaborate setups, i'm not looking for super fancy, but something i'll like to open up my trunk too. and i'd prefer to not fiberglass stuff. I know it'll look better, but i'm much better with wood, then to learn a new trade...

I'm about to do my install. I'm going to build an amp shelf that will hang under the rear deck. It will be hinged at the front (two inside house door hinges) and hung at the back (trunk opening side) with some flat bar and wing nuts. Gives you about 37.5 inches by 15 inches to mount amps and power distribution. I'm going to have 3 amps on it. 1 per sub and a four channel. It will hang down about 3 - 3.5 inches from the bottom of the stock 6x9s. I might be able to tighten that up with my new 6.5's because they are shallow mount.
For subs I'm mounting two 10's in a standard Bassworx dual 12 inch box (need it for volume). If needed I can move the box out of the way and still have the fold down seat/storage option.
I'll post pictures in about 2 weeks. Just waiting for the last couple parts to show up.

I'll be honest and say I don't have a clue of what I'm looking at. Are they amps on the sides there and the box for the sub behind them?

I mounted my Amp under my front seat, It fits nicely under the passengers seat and you can run al the wiring under the molding and noone will ever know. Its a great way to save some space in a trunk.

and the laughing is for the thought of mounting my amp under that seat... its easily as big as the one pictured above, just not as thick.

I personally love the idea fo the amp wall. It can give you that added bit of security, space, and concealment. I can't wait to do mine.

ye I am not sure eather I think I would make mine float one over the other. I think the set up in the pic would over heat the amp

My Sound System set up
I own a 2001 Alero 4 sedan
My HU is the Pioneer DEH-P9800BT
Installed in my trunk I went with the Bassworx Dual 12" Ported Box Model HPR212 This box fits like a glove in my trunk. Looks custom made, just slide it in and PUSH...this box will never move, for that extra security, I bolted the box to the frame of my car, It is the best fitting box I have found.
Installed in my HPR212 Ported box I went with a pair of Alpine SWS-1243D
2x12 inch Subwoofers that I bridged so 2ohm + 2ohm = 4ohm load
I have two amps installed and screwed on the back-rest of the back seat, one amp per back-rest
My Amps are
MTX TC4004......is a Four Channel 400watts RMS for my front & Rear speakers
MTX TC4002..... is a Two Channel used for my bridged subs 400Watts
My car has SOUND.,.,.,.,and LOTS OF BASS
