Water pump question
Where does the WP leak from when bad? I think mine just started to leak last night. There is a lot of steam comming from what seems to be under the PS pump. There is small amounts of antifreeze on the hood and header panel and the belt is whipping it around.
I want to make sure it's the WP before I replace it, and I'm kinda pressed from time so how long should this take?

A WP is $35 at Advance Auto, gasket is $2.39 but they are internet prices.
Looking to do this on Saturday Morning, hoping it can last that long
Anybody know if it is the WP? I'm 99% certain it is, but I think the last time a WP pump was replaced was on my parents 1966 Bel-Air when I was 3

Mine too.
after it idled, I saw a drop of water comming from behind the WP pulley - that was after half a year the clue that it was the WP and not the radiator.

It has been a while since I did it for the same reason. I bought a new water pump and thought is that it. It is a small housing with some impeller blades in it. Most likely it is only the gasket like mine was but changed it since I had already bought it. It took longer to clean the gasket off then it did to replace it, should take like 10 minutes tops.

Was it hard to get the bolts out? Or get your hands down there?
I have a new upper hose too. I bought it a few years ago because I thought it was leaking. Hoses are orginal, so I'm going to replace that too

Once you slip the belt off and remove the pulley, you just remove a few bolts. When you get it off you will ask yourself, Thats all it is? I really is easy.
