my 99 olds frount calipers are making a clicking sound when i put on the brakes, this has most likley been asked before, wtf is it. i put siliglide on the rattle clips and the slides but the noise wont go away. if you have ran into this befor gimme some help

Are you talking about what almost sounds like a creaking sound when you press the brake pedal? Aleros are notorious for that and I'm not sure if anyone ever figured out why. I have the same sound on mine, even after I've installed new pads and rotors. The noise must be from the caliper piston but it doesn't seem to have any negative effects on braking so I haven't bothered getting new calipers.

Its an alero thing. SOme have it some don't. My 01 2.4 had it, drove me nuts, but my 01 3.4 doesn't.

i have the same problem. my driver's front clicks like crazy. it's retarded i think. maybe just special needs.
