Rearview mirror with lights, replacement.

I am wanting to switch out my normal rearview mirror for a lighted rearview mirror from another Alero. How hard is this to do? I can feel the hole where the cord would go in but I can't assume it would be as easy as plugging something in, or is it?

It might be. Drop the headliner to see if its wired for one. The wire harness for the dome light/moonroof/and rearview mirror runs up the left rear quarter and up the headliner. If it is not wired for one I have two harnesses that are wired for it. Then what you would have to do is drop the headliner. Remove your old harness and then plug the new harness in. My guess is that it most likely is already wired for one though

yeah like bkath said, drop the liner and check the wiring, its most likely already wired for it.
but if that don't work, aftermarket would be easy to wire in http://www.gentex.com/auto_plo_interior.html

Is it hard to drop the headliner?
