Car acting funny

Interesting day today, Started my car and started fine except none of the gauges actually turned on (No needle movement, or lights turned on) Since it was dark my headlights turned on but when it got bright my drls didn't turn on. Got to work with no spedometer lol. While at work I forgot something in my car so I went back to get it and tried starting it.. Didn't start, didn't click or anything. Just didn't turn no matter how long I held it. Got off work worried, Started right up. WTF. Do I have a short somewhere possibly?

Battery cable corrosion suspected...my friend had the exact same thing happen with his taurus, and last friday a tiny spot of corrosion caused my electronics to begin to not work right

When the gauges don't work, it's a warning that the alternator is getting ready to go.

Happened to me

I should have thought of alternator to say as well, oh well now that you mention it I agree with you, but check your cables anyways because it never hurts to keep them clean

if it was the battery being so weak that the cluster wasnt working (alternator not charging) then probably the engine wouldnt start.

When my alternator went, the battery dash light came on.

That's when I used my plug in voltmeter to verify that the alternator had died.

have you checked cables or anything to the point...My sign that there was starting to be a problem was my door dingers were barely working and my sound was fuzzy even with it on, but it started normal and everything...also if it is running if you go to an orielly's they can run a test on your the battery, alternator, and starter and any I have been to will do it for free

Everything looks fine, the only thing that is weird is when I use my turn signals after I turn and they turn off, I hear a clicking noise that happens around 4-5 times then stops and wont happen til I use my turn signals again.

the clicking noise is likely a totally different thing...for that I would pull the multifunction switch and clean it up
