electrical problems?

Ok so the other nite when i was driving on the highway heading home i noticed that my headlights flashed, i paid no mind to it and kept driving, it happened again, so i thought i was just tired and seeing things. It didnt last more than 1/2 second and the light would be back on. Well i ended up running out to wallgreens last nite after i got home and it started acting up again, except this time it was happening more and more and the lights were staying off longer and longer. Well by the time i got home the lights were turning all the way off, stay off for 3-7 seconds and come back on. I thought maybe a loose wire/bad connection, but it didnt always happen when i hit a bump which should have caused the connection to go bad for a second. So then i checked the fuses this morning, cant see any bad ones. I had the batter replaced about 4 months ago after it died completely. Any ideas?

thanks in advance.

P.S. Oh by the way its a 2003 3.4l V6 ~82Kmiles and has had a history of electrical problems, had a leaky sunroof when first purchased.

Sounds like loose connection or dead cell on battery

The thing is that it didnt always happen when i hit a bump, and to test that i went over some small speed bumps at 25mph to try and jar it but it didnt happen, and when i hit a smooth part of the road it did it again.it also happend after i put my car in park.

well the tail lights did it too after i turn the car off(left the keys in igntion and set to Asscessories(sp)) but nothing else like cd player, lights in dash, or dome lights. I checked the fuses this morning before work, but i will double check, is there a specific fuse for lights?

also check the wire harnesses that go to the fuse boxes.

no need to dismantle everything, but turn your lights on, then just give the wires a good shake... see if the lights flicker.

but while your at it, i'd disconnect each wire from the battery and see if there is any corrosion... if so, just give it a good rinse w/ water mixed with baking soda. (dissolves battery acid)
