http://www.carcustoms.net/product_in...ducts_id=4 77
Just happened across this while browsing for performance parts. Anyone tried this guy on an Alero?

great product. simple install. i think it's 2 wires. comes with everything to connect. 3 settings- stock, sport, race
definately a plus for any car, stock or modified. it might even extend the life of a tired tranny.

Sorry for being such an ass, but becoz of my bad english and the fact i'm new to all of the car matters(i'm 17, got my Alero just not a while ago) I didn't get what does this thing exacly do... Anyone can explain? Oh well... U don't have to bother coz in Israel those things arent allowed anyway, but i'll be glad to know.

I had one and I think Scott think has his.
It's got 2 settings on it and what it does is it firms up shifts by closeing the shift soilend in the Tranny faster therefore causing less drop in RPM between shifts.
I used to have one but took it out when I put in the new PCM. They don't work well together

Yes it works awesome. Really firms up the shifts and makes the auto shift quicker than anyone can shift a manual.

It has 2 wires that you splice in to 2 wires that plug into the tranny. Very easy.

There's a big round plug on the front of the transmission itself. I forget which wires you need, but all you do is unwrap the wires going into that plug, splice in the wires from the B&M, and wrap it back up. Then you find a spot inside your car to mount the B&M switch. Like I said, very easy. Only thing is for it to work correctly you have to choose which setting you want when the engine is off. Flipping the switch either way won't do anything if the engine is already running.

If your shifter reads PRND321 that means you have an automatic transmission. The B&M Shift Plus is a shift improver for automatic transmissions. So yes, the B&M will work for your car.

I know that much. But in the web siote description it says this will only work for the 4 speed auto not the 3 speed. This product works on the 4 speed electronic transmissions. It will not work on the 3 speed hydraulic transmissions. If your gear selector reads P R N D 2 1, then THIS WILL NOT WORK FOR YOU

mines messing up my tranny catches then looses 1st gear every 2 seconds its weird..but it workd pretty good b4 that. Just increases the fluid pressure in the tranny like everyone said.

Right. It says that if what you have is PRND21 then it won't work. But what you have in your Alero is PRND321. There's 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and the D is 4th gear, also called Overdrive. All automatic Aleros have the 4 speed auto, so it will work on every automatic Alero.
I have it on mine and it works awesome...very noticeable difference in shift firmness and quickness.
