Sigh....
Okay.
My problem is currently that My car has a Single rust spot.
That rust spot is on the exterior, where the Truck Latch Meets the body (IE, the only way you can see it is with the truck open or with a flashlight in the groove.
Tonight, I opened my truck, when i went to close it, it wouldn't close completely. this happens to be because of a problem with the latch.
It appears that it has rusted through where the Latch meets the body, so there is now a hole and it has give, thus allowing the trunk to rise approximatly an inch when latched closed.
This is a problem, as if mold gets in my car, it's ruined. Plus, I'm canadian and snow is very soon. It's been raining the past few days.
1. Any suggestions? it looks like i have to weld a plate on the inside.
2. IS This a common problem.

I'd get another latch, would probably be easier than fixing the old one.

Well, It was the Latch hook, not the latch itself. Turns out It wasn't too hard to fix. 5 minutes and 30 dollars later, i had i welded.

I don't know how it converts to km - but I had a 100,000mile rust-through warranty that I got a new hood out of at about 99,999 miles.
