Both my headvisors have 7.2" screens in them and on the driver side visor-i'm going to be putting the view of the rear camera on there and on the passenger side i will be putting a dvd player. My question is when I install the aftermarket dvd player-should i tap into the front speakers (and which wires?) since there is no speakers in the tv in visor?

your aftermarket deck mights have auxillary inputs, check into that.......if it does then run the rca's from the dvd player into the aux on the head unit and you will get sound out of all ur speakers......if it doesnt have aux then you can use an fm modulator which will play the audio through unused frequencies on the radio.......
hope that helps

I am pretty sure I see a blurry Kenwood in that pic. I have that same radio and I know that there are aux. inputs. I have the excelon version but I dont believe there are any differences with aux. in/out between the base model and the excelon. So, do what bigd said and plug your dvd player in and you should have good all around sound

Just in case you don't have Aux inputs, and you don't want to use an FM modulator, you can also purchase a special adaptor that will convert your CD Changer input into a set of RCA's which you can then plug into.

yea thats just another name for auxillary inputs, my pioneer doesnt have a specific cd changer input, it had a specific input that you can plug inputs into like satellite radio, cd changer, or an aux input like rca's......thats for my pioneer anyways, i guess for kenwoods it can be classified as a cd changer input.....
but yea just listen to all of us, you dont want to tap into your speakers......that would just throw a whole lot of things off

no, many cd players have a specific pin'd output for a cd changer like 12 pins or so(kind of like an svideo cable) for some models they make an adapter to turn that output into RCA's

ok thats why i said for my pioneer thats how it is, it has an ip-bus connection, which can be used for a cd changer, or xm radio, or they have a specific cable that changes it into 2 rca inputs.......and its an input not an output on the back of the deck...

A cd changer is input/ output. That is how the deck communicates with the changer. Most are seven pins two being output while the other five are speaker inputs. The bus frequency is the thing that changes between the brands. Example. A toyota cd changer made by fujitsu will operate on a eclipse deck if wired to a seven pin cable.
