does this make sense?

OK my car's been missing but only above 2000 RPMs

Currently I have a totally stock upper intake on a P&P lower, it was a temp thing until I got my new upper P&P (not like I was going to get the old P&P one back that I had, long story)

Anyway only above 2000 RPM's is misses and stumbles, below that, no problem.

I replaced the coil packs and ICM (i had the parts already) and the wires are fairly new. I just replaced the plugs the other day, except for #2, I think it's cross threaded, it will not budge.

I read on a car fourm that a guy had a simialr problem with a Sentra where the shop left a rag in the airbox and it was choking airflow above 2000. Could my stock upper be doing this? I would think the PCM would correct for this

Better check that #2 spark plug. I'm guessing its not throwing a code?

Starting to sound more like when my head gasket blew. Puking coolant and miss firing, next will be some white smoke.

Another HUGE player.. do you have fuel pressure and volume?!?!? Get a fuel gauge.. should be 41-47 psi when it primes. Then, run it. Get a fuel gauge that lets you divert fuel, and with the car running, press the button and divert fuel into a graduated container (paint mixing cup is perfect). Let it flow for 15 seconds, and you *should* get 12-15 oz of volume. Any lower than that and you have fuel delivery issues.

How are the injectors? They might provide enough at idle, but not 2000rpm. A telltale would be fuel trim numbers... rev it up and look at the STFT, if it increased fuel delivery quite a bit, and you have pressure and volume from the pump, the injectors may be dirty.

Also, as long as you have a scanner hooked up, look at the misfire graphic, which shows misfire on all 6 cyls. Rev it over 2000 and see if it's all cyls causing an issue or just #2.

Good luck.

Yeah no codes.

I was thinking fuel pressure also.

The coolant issue has been fixed I haven't lost any in 2 weeks now. It was the way the cap was sealed or lack there of. Still at the "FULL COLD" level, when car is cold

It hasn't been missing too much and runs a lot better now with the 5 new plugs, ICM and coil packs, but when it misses it will pop out of the tail pipe

No SES light but I scaned it today anyway.

Came back with a P0336 code CPS circuit, range or performance problem

Now would that be the 7x or the 24x? I'm thinking the 24x and there is a relearn that has to be done?!?!? How do you do that?

Ehhh, doesn't help much just guessing, lol.
Nows the time to check the pattern each sensor is putting out.. 24x should be nice boxes (digital pattern), and the 7x should be a good analog pattern

The relearn is easy.. make it hit the rev limiter 4 times. Then it's relearned.

I have no where to do that kind of work on the car right now. Besides I'll just do th loaner program at Advanced.

I took it to the mech today simply because I didn't know which sensor to check, well he found out which sensor it was. It was def the 24x.

The FFP crank pulley I have is bent and when it was bent, it took out part of that sensor. I mean litterlly took out a part of the sensor and it was jammed in the crank pulley.

My mech tried to bend it back, but now the car's missing worse, much worse. It threw a code today and it came back P0336.

I found my stock pulley, he's going to swap it for me (I need it fixed now and I don't have the time) but he's not charging me for it.

If the stock pulley makes it better, I might get that one on Mr Z's website since Ben doesn't have any on his, but that won't be for a while. Funds are getting tight
