you'd be wasting the speakers putting them in the back.
you can take the 4x6s out, along with the black adapter thing, and 6.5 SHOULD fit in the door. (just need a spacer so they aren't mounting directly to the metal.

megabyte posted these pics of his doors a while back. so, yes, it is possible. i thought the window would hit the speaker, but apparently not.
fyi, he made his own speaker adapter.

I don't see why you would buy those... bit of Plyboard, Jigsaw, and a bit of sandpaper.

Cost to effort ratio. They were cheap enough.

if i have extra wood laying around i'll make my own. if not, screw it, i'll buy some off ebay. ~25 and a little wait for shipping is better then roostering around trying to get the wood to fit right.

I got some laying around for 5.25" speakers.
I was thinking of making more. The door is a little small for 6.5" mids.

Look at the doors opening for the speaker. Its 4x6... Which makes it on the small side for a 6.5" speaker.

ok.... so that means you take the black rubber adapter off, then maybe take a dremel to the metal, if your magnet is too large....
i'd say thats better then buying/making kick panels.

That is EXACTLY what I had to do for mine... too easy to do really. Infiniti Reference line of speakers fit in there without any issues.

My god what is that?
Im glassing my 5.25" comps into them pods, but it wont look like that...lol
The only way that simple trim board will work is with shallow mount speakers. If its a standard speaker forget about it!
Heck my fiberglass adapters stand out the height of the plastic counterparts and my Rainbows were only a little off the glass...lol
