Help Please..... Wat Up

sunday i was going to paint my calipers in the front i got one rim off the other one i could not... four lugs came off with ease the fifth did not it turned a few times then it stopped, it got harder the more i turned it to take off :wtf: any suggestions or ideas of what i should do???? im p-ed off. issed:

sounds like that lug was cross threaded, sorry about your luck and good luck getting it off. try using a breaker bar, you will probably snap the lug but thats the only way to get the wheel off. then you will of course have to replace the lug. if using air tools ALWAYS hand screw the lug onto the threads first.

be careful though, you might snap the bolt for the lug. Try to tighten it again and take it off, it its cross threadin again.... good luck

if i get the lug off will i be able to use the bolt again .......or would i have to get another lug

depends how it looks, chances are that it will need replaced

If it's cross threaded you mine as well just get a breaker bar and put some torque on the lugnut and break it off. If you've already been fighting with it odds are the stud is screwed up and it's going to need replacing anyways. The studs aren't that hard to replace.

where can i find replacement studs? if need be

just about any good parts store would have them

are the costly, and hard to do yourself.

also would anybody happen to know what size studs we have on aleros

Probably about $1.50-$2.00 each. New lug nut is about $.50 each. As far as difficulty. I'm not sure about Aleros but I've done tons of them on other cars and they were all cake. You basically beat the old one out and then beat the new one in.
