headlights

ok first with a question

1.) if the DRL are the high beam bulbs, would the DRL need to be disabled to HID the low beams?

secondly i want to get rid of automatic headlights to where they only turn on when i twist the switch on the wheel. anyone know how to achieve that? (i cant stand having the car on sitting in front of someones house and cant kill the lights without turnng off the car...

DRLs only need to be turned off.. if your DRLs are your low beams. If they are your high beams, you don't need it to be done.

I disabled my DRL's by doing this... http://www.aleromod.com/forums/showthread.php?t=27855
This also worked on my GF's G6, and a friend's crappy old Saturn. When I rotate my switch up one click (parking lights) the headlights shut off leaving only the parking lights on.
