Struts?

Hey team,

The other night I was searching the crap out of the forums for information about a front end clunky-rattle type sound that my ho has been producing lately...since the end of winter, I've noticed a slight pulse in my brakes, and I'm convinced it's due to a warped rotor on the drivers side...no problem...easy fix...but with the brake pulsation, I get the clunky sound now too...somewhere in here I read something about pushing down on the front of the car with the hood up to see if there's any movement where the struts are connected...and sure enough there is a bit of movement on the drivers side...I just can't remember if there's supposed to be a bit of movement there or not, and if not, can I just take a socket wrench to it and tighten it up?
I hate posting on stuff that's been covered, but for the life of me I can't find the thread where I was reading this stuff, and it's making me crazy.
Any ideas? Thanks!

Do the brakes first and then move on. Something as simple as a loose caliper bolt would cause clunking like that.

Rgr that. Not that it matters, 'cause I took my socket wrench to it to try and tighten the center bolt on the strut mount and after a few turns of the wrench I decided that turning it wasn't doing a damn thing to it...the bolt just seems to turn endlessly with no result. That can't be good...I mean, unless it's supposed to do that...

God I hate being a noob with car stuff...

you need a wrench to stop the bolt from turning.... the bolt is just loose... it's hard to explain... put a socket on the caliper bolt and turn... you'll see where you can put the wrench turner also... it's about an inch from the bolt towards you...

thats what it's like on mine anyways
