Lost Car key
My friend lost her key to her alero..she been looking for 2 day, i am about to go help her here shortly...but if we can find the key what are the options??

send in the vin# and have it re-cut or jamb the ignition tumblers and replace the ignition, just don't lock the doors

the ignition tumblers, you need to jamb them to replace an ignition with no key, so you can the igniton to pull the igntion cylinder out
also how you steal our cars just fyi

i think you're missing a few words in your sentences lol. i wasn't aware our cars could be stolen besides flatbedding. people have enough issues starting their own aleros with the passlock issue.

Go to any GM dealer Bring ID Registration and title.. They can look up key and cut you a new one

when you have no car keys...
you stick some sort of flat object (ie screwdriver) into the ignition cylinder and pound it in to break (jamb) the tumblers into thinking a key is in the ignition. Then you can turn the ignition to release th lock to replace it. Without doing that the ignition will be locked into the ignition cylinder housing, works when people already have seperate ignition to door keys

I though cutting a key was expensive but gm gonna cut a key or 25 bucks so that aint bad

Vin and registration to dealership. new key can be cut easily and for a fair price.
