Post Turbocharging '03 3.4 v6 with CC. HELP!

As I said in my intro, I have a 2003 3.4 v6 Alero GLS. Electric everything, as well as cruise control. I have browsed around as well as looked at the Alermods wiki and after reading it all realized it's for non cruise control. I'm completely new to modding my car but would like to learn and save up some cash.

My couple questions are if there is someone that could continually help me as I learn and start to work on my car to turbocharge it. Could I get an average price for everything to do it, parts wise. Difficulty, and what the differences are because of cruise control and what different things I may have to do, having a 3.4.

Please no trolling, just really intrigued about turbocharging and performance modding my car. As well as being able to destroy in races with it, when guys with fancy stock cars try to race me.

But for the 3.4 you will have to have a turbo manifold made. There is not turbo kit for the 3.4. If you have the money you can do it. But wait till Ion c2, blackjack, and kwhauck chime in. But before you turbo you should make sure your engine is in good condition if it were me i would build the engine first and then turbo.

In my moderate knowledge I would say it's in great condition with very low mileage, 82k on it. I've read into turbocharging here as well as thoroughly read the aleromods wiki. I'm not an expert by any means, and I am aware this will be a long process. I just am unsure where to even start.

Well you could start by planning your build and start to gather parts. What is your budget. because a stock 3400 can hold 8-10 psi. But building the engine it will be able to handle more power. Search some of blackjacks threads he has some great info on turbocharging the 3400. I know milzys sells an turbo kit.

My budget could definitely have some leeway as I have low living expenses, insurance, cell, and internet. I suppose going for the big numbers on products should be worth it if I find the right ones. Also I'll definitely look up blackjack's stuff. I wasn't finding much on here for my specific needs with moderate browsing, so like any noob I made a thread. Lol

Well you will need to tap the oil pan for the oil return line for the turbo, boost gauge, A/F gauge, and oil pressure gauge. turbo, intercooler, intercooler piping, air filter, BOV, wastegate, turbo manifold, down pipe and have to mod bumper to fit intercooler.

That definitely gives me a start, and finally a legitimate reason to buy a body kit.

Also, dually noted ion. Haha

well you could start with simple mods like cleared corners, intake, exhaust and rims.

Yeah, I may be getting ahead of myself on this one. Start with the little things I suppose. I'd still love to learn about turbocharging and gain a good knowledge of it still though, as it is definitely something I want to do in the future.

My very first mod will be tinting the windows. The leather with no tint cooks my car.

I say do not do a bodykit.

There is room for an intercooler behind the stock bumper. So triming maybe required

No point getting an intake or exhaust if your going to turbo unless you reuse your intake piping as charge pipe.

I personally hate so called "turbo kits" due to them usually being made of shitty parts and not including everything you need. However the milzy one is pretty good.

One thing you should do is a compression test to see if you get good numbers all the way across.

Also you going to want to look into many other things besides turbo parts such as feul pump, injectors, head studs, head gaskets, etc.

Also could someone chime in on this, does the 3400 throw a code with boost. I know we use mafs not maps but how does your engine read the intake air pressure to adjust fuel.
