3M 08883 as a sound deadener in trunk?

I've had a can of it laying around for a while now.

It's an Underseal, Rubberized Undercoating. It's also a sound deadening material.

Found here

I'm thinking of just spraying the trunk lid with it, and getting something like Cache or Dynamat for the actual trunk.

Would it be worthwhile to try? or even worth the effort to spray it?

You are going to have to spray a shit load of this stuff to get a decent thickness I would assume. All it is is Flex Seal! Let us know if it works, so I can spray my wife's mouth...lol!

I actually laughed out loud.

That's the thing I'm worried about, having to use a lot of it.

I also don't wanna take the trunk lid off. I may just lay down a shit ton of towels down on the car.

Sprayed it. Put it on thick in areas where two pieces meet and in gaps.

Will let it dry for a couple hours and will let you guys know how it worked.

I dont see how it would be any different from Elemental designs liquid stuff.
