I haven't seen many or any Aleros with car masks. I wanted to get a mini mask for my car, but I thought I'd ask you guys first. In my head it looks nice, but how does it really look on the car? Does it mess up the paint? Is it just plain ugly? Yeah...I was thinking about until I save enough money, just do things I can do myself or won't be too expensive.
I'm gonna get tint first! Thanks everyone who helped me with my other topic.
Oh yeah...does anyone know of any Ankh decals. I'm an ankh person. Egypt is like my theme for everything. Yeah...just wondering. But, if you guys can help me about the bra...just tell me what ya'll think of it.
Nikki!

I dont like them either, but I also think it depends on the color of the car. Some of them don't look to bad. I have a black car though so I don't think a bra would look right on a black car.

Dirt gets under the bra and rubs between it and the car, thus causing scratches to the paint. So yes, bras are bad.

I say no................ smokin has a good point, it will eventually ruin your paint. My friend had one on his grand prix, and he had to get his front bumper/hood painted again

Well as far as ruining your paint just like anything else you have to properly maintain a bra. Take it off every now and then and clean the inside out. I had one on my camaro and kept it cleaned every month or so and did not have any problems. To answer your question, I think bras dont look good on aleros.

I'm with everyone else on this, I personally don't like the look of a bra on the Alero, but if you want one, go for. I've also heard that a bra should be taken off everytime the car gets wet. I don't know about this though, I've never had one on any of my cars.

what about that front edge of the hood rusting up without the bra? would a bra help prevent that from happening or just make it worse? (if the line of rust is repaired and painted over, of course)

mini bra too? Hmmm...I saw a grey alero today with one it looked kewl. God hat sounded lame. anyway, it looked ok, but its my personal opinion. The "normal" large bras that cover the whole freaking front of the car, I dont like those...okay, I'm gonna start rambling...hehe, why I'm called Mindless Babble. Oh god! Shut up Nikki!
Bye! Thanks guys!

I passed an Alero with a bra on it today. It reminded me of an old fat woman wearing a zoro mask. :huh?:

If your'e just talking about the one that covers the front edge of the hood
take a look at my signature picture. I had the magnetic bra on my car for a while. But the trim that held it on looked ugly as hell.

My alero has a bra, and it DOES NOT look bad. Real nice if you ask me. For some reason, when I take it off, the front end feels "naked". Odd, I know.
They also cover up fender bender quite well
I can post pic's if you like.

I had a bra on my last alero, and yes I got the scratches on the hood, and after only 1 year, the paint fading around it was quite noticeable. I then put it on my new '04 for about 3 months, but decided to take it off. Believe it or not, I bought a deflector from the dealership, and as much as I normally hate them, it looks really good on the Alero. I've seen about 3 different aftermarket ones that looked like crap, but the GM one is slightly sculpted to the hood, and flows well. Unfortunately I do not have a pic of it on, but if I can get the freezing rain and salt off it this weekend, I could take a pic if you want.

Bras are bad. not only do they mess up the paint, but I've heard stories about mold and mildew forming on the bumper covers
