Possibly Find one of these, though I dont know justhow they work:
Ill have to use my infared camera to check the status of the bulbs.
And I just realized I have a rather large peice of leather covering my front plate anyway. I still like this idea, though.

they work by shooting out a sigonal and mesureing the return of the wave. if you slant your raidator back and remove your headlights you will make your car more stealth. if i was a car designer i would design a car that can not be able to be titected my radar.

depending on how good the cop is they dont need radar...i learned that one the hard way. came over a hill doing 60(in a 35) and he estimated me at 60 and gunned me with a rear mounted radar at 62 or something.

If he can't use his radar, then how can he prove you were speeding?

They just tested this on MythBusters using 300 infared LEDS to the front of a license plate --- to NO avail.

If Cops down south are anything like up here in our Polar Paradise, they need not rely on the devices per-say, and can make an approximation on your speed, and/or still ticket you for reckless driving, etc. If they dont catch you on radar when you fly by, they aint just gonna sit and continue on with their Tea and Crumpets folks, lets be honest here, Drive like a moron, and you will be ticketed like a moron.

but in Ohio atleast, a basic approximation of speed wont hold up in court in the least. Which is why you should always ask to see the radar gun when you get pulled over, and you think they're just making an approximation.

Not so. I lived in oxford, Ohio for two years. I tried to contest a ticket that was two miles over the posting. The judge informed me that the radar accuracy is not critical. They go by the cops decision on the matter.
