careful you dont have that thing going full speed....cut it slowly so after you finally break it loose it doesnt mark up/break the pieces.

I found that out when i was drilling out spot welds and broke one of my spot weld drill bits....slow and steady until the 5/16 bit drills the hole, then after it pulls through the hole slooooooow down and continue drilling the spot weld with the little teeth on the side.

Point is....when drilling on delicate parts like you were.....you have to be extra careful not to go crazy and try to get it done fast. Take your time

Just get one from the junkyard man. Just go in and take the cluster apart. Get the clear plastic with the black part attached to it. Shouldn't be more than $10. They give shit like that away at the junkyards here. But if you tried to get the whole cluster they would try and rape you for like $200.
