ok good to know thanks guys.. i see that some of them have recomended mounting plates? are these needed or sold with them usually?

i'm pretty sure when your doing your struts, your also going to want to replace the upper strut mount/bearing plate.

but i honestly don't know, cuz i haven't done this yet. (have the struts here, just waiting to buy springs and get good instructions on the work involved)

I bought new mounting plates for mine, but I have an extremely high mileage car. I'm not sure if there is a recommended point where you should do it. But if you've got any knocking, I would go ahead and spend the extra money and do it all at once. And they are sold separately.

but yeah i probably should cause im getting a clank and chirp/squeak when going on minor pot holes and bumps.. and going up the parking garage landing ramps..(makes me cringe lol)
