Limited Slip Differental

Does anyone on this site have one (limited slip diff) in there transmission or any expierence with them? I know Team Green is the ones suggested on Aleromod Upgrades but isn't that also a group buy through j-body.org? I seen that Phantom Grip has one for Pontiac Sunfires it is also the only one by Phantom grip that I could find for the 4T40E http://store.phantomgrip.com/catalog...roducts_id=154 funny it's not listed under Cavaliers is there any other options availible or am I stuck with the 2 listed?

What sort of improvement in performance would you see with this?

I'm not too sure but instead of having all the power transfered from the wheel that's not spinning to the wheel thats spinging both stay spinning together

Basically it acts as a coupling between the left and right wheels to normalize the speed between them. Say if you were making a turn and you punched it, the inside tire would just go up in smoke. With a limited slip, power would also be transferred to the outside rear wheel giving you a significant advantage in acceleration. It's something to be felt in a FWD, that's for sure.

If that didn't work... then..

I do in the MINI. You really have to do a lot of hard driving / track days / racing (not in a straight line) to be worth it. It allows you to carry more speed through corners and get better pull out of them.

I'd love a Torsen.....word is GM had one done for the Grand Am SC/T concept (the candy-apple red one with the Recaros and Alcon brakes) way back when......
