Any way to get into trunk with no key and no battery power?

I was at the junkyard today grabbing a few things for the car and found an alero my colour with the spoiler, I want the spoiler from the car BUT the trunk is closed . Does anyone know of any ideas to get into the trunk? I was thinking I could be a and go through the backseats but then I remembered the only was to fold the back seats down is through the trunk What a stupid idea that was lol

It's a 60/40 fold seat, right? Reach through the part where the seats split and grab and pull the release handle.

It's worked for me on a Cobalt once.

Depending if all the fuses and relays are there and if you have a great multimeter like a fluke then you can use the fluke to provide 12v needed to pop the trunk ... This is all just an idea though as I have never tested it out but in theory it should work.

Good call on both you guys, I think the fuse box had been taken out but I'm not 100 percent sure, I'll go back tomorrow and try both ways.

When I first installed my junkyard trunk, I accidentally folded up my seats, and the button wasn't working, and obviously my key was not made for that trunk. It's damn near impossible to get the latches through the seats.. I actually ended up lubing the key a bit and wiggling it like crazy and it actually opens the trunk lock..

So if you want to get into someone else's Alero just coat your key with lube and wiggle it a ton.

Not that it helps you at all but i put small pieces of dynamat around the latch of the seats so they don't lock in place. that way if i want moar bass, i can just reach back and pull the seat down

Simple remove your battery, and connect it to the junked car.

If you just want the spolier, take a flat head screwdriver and push it into the lock, once it's all the way in, turn it, then remove said screwdriver

first try what clutch said and if you cant fit your arm through use a metal rod or coat hanger to release the seats.

i'd probably try ripping the wires out for the trunk release button, and bridging them with a 9V battery.

I actually thought about that too, I might have to pick up a battery on my way and give it a go.

probably better to put wires already on the battery, then just push them into the connector for the switch, and hit it. Instead of cutting them.

... but i'm all for being courteous first...

Rip the bumper off, there will be 2 bolts in the middle, remove said bolts and open trunk.

How much did they charge you for the spoiler?
