the rear drive small block was an s-10 frame, the northstar was on the normal alero body. though i'm sure it took a bit of reinforcing to make sure nothing would break...

I'm guessing this is install labor only
the northstar alone is worth almost that much

a twin turbo northstar can cost almost 35,000

they are one of the most expinsive engines to build

Althogh I haven't ever put a northstar into annother car, I do have experience with engine swaps, I've put a VW VR6 engine into an old body VW Bus, and also put a Corvette C5R engine into a Camaro...the only problem I can think of would be extending the engine bay and finding suitable engine strut locations....It's true that you'd need a much bigger radiator, but if your willing to do without A/C...then it's a much more tangible idea...if anybody in the chicago area is willing to let me experiment, I (as in me and the rest of the mechanic crew at my grandfather shop) could try to figure out how this could happen...and I could get a Northstar TT with 25k miles for 6 grand...already found one ...so yeah, what ya guys think?

extending the engine bay?
are you serious?
the swap has been done on concepts
no extending needed.

as for the twin turbo northstar... yeah maybe junk yard parts. but even then.
show me it and maybe I'll belive you.

A stock northstar? That's a tight squeeze.
A twin turbo northstar with all the piping involved? That's a bunnying nightmare.

if you want space for upgrades, the you'll want to extend the bay an inch or two, atleast for a large intercooler. That would probably be the first mod I'd do if I put a Northstar in between my fenders.
