If the head is still present but with the corners rounded off, beat on a 6 point.

If that doesnt work the only other option is to weld a nut to it.

Dont try drilling it out. You will almost positively damage the head.

i pulled it off, just make you have a magnetic pickup tool and get all the shavings from inside valve cover if you drill it

Well see heres the thing.

If you drill it off and make it into the heads threads you are seriously SOL.

You obviously cant do it with the tap drill size, you will for sure kill it.

Im sure you drilled undersized just enough to break the pressure of the bolt. This is OK if you are very careful...

Working in a machine shop Ive drilled my fair share of busted bolts out. Even removed taps. But thats with industrial equipment and parts located. Doing it with a hand drill is another ball game.

the top 2 bolts of the valve cover go into the LIM and not the head, the bolt i snapped was one of the top ones so i got lucky i guess.

drill it and heliocoil the head simple thing to do... learned from my rockers flaying off of my head 4 times now junk heads still wanta get diff heads.

i have done my LIMG 3 three times (one set of gaskets, but i had lifter issues)

and i dont have any bolt problems........ so idk wtf you may be doing...but i think you overtightened a bolt
