Bodykit came in.

As some of you know, I have been waiting on AAS to send me a replacement kit for a few months ago because the first one was damaged in shipping.

Well my replacement body kit came in today, and it was actually in perfect condition. For some reason, it was primed completely different than the other and also it did not come with the wire mesh. No big deal at all though. I called AAS up, and they told me I could keep my other kit So now I can use the wire mesh off of it and also use it for replacement if anything gets messed up.

Anywho, I will be attempting to fit this on myself and I was wondering if anyone had any tips like how to get the holes matched up and stuff. Also I got to looking at how the stock bumpers were held on. They looked like in some places they were held on by some plastic piece that for the life of me I could not pull out. I would appreciate any help on this lol.

Also, how well does hot glue or silicone stick to fiberglass? Because thats what I'm thinking of holding the mesh on with.

Thanks

Thanks guys.

Any tips on how to make the mounting holes match exactly with the stock ones?

I might end up doing that blender.
Right now my top priority is finding out how to mount this thing using the stock holes and if anyone has any tricks on making the holes I drill in the kit match the location of the stock holes.

I'm not sure Alerojack. It is not busted up too bad. It is actually an easy repair for anyone that has minor experience in glassing. If anything goes wrong with the kit I have now, I could always use a part off of the busted kit.

Well guys, been working on this for two days.

None of the parts of this kit fits right. One skirt is too short, one skirt is too long. The back bumper had 3 different sections of it that bent wrong.

I read to leave the stock skirts on but it does not fit that way either, so i attempted to take one off and got to the last few clips. I have no clue how to take them out. I got rid of all the christmas trees, all that is left is the clips that you can not see unless you pull the skirt back.

Anyone have any advice to take the rest of the skirt off?

pliers, muscle, rip it out. you have to break the 30 damn clips that hold the side skirts on lol. get some leverage and start breaking it apart.

also get a friend to help when trying to fit the kit, you'll need one or two friends to hold it in place and to exert some force to get it to fit

So Ion, you're saying rip the rest of the skirt off? I will do that tomorrow

My dad has been assisting me the whole way. The kit just doesn't bend right at all. Going to have the shop that is painting my car fix it.

What did you use to mount the skirts man? Got any pics?
