does any1 know how to change the starter on a 3.4L v6?

Grab some wrenches and crawl under the car and start looking around for bolts around the starter. Just take a good look around it and examine how everything is connected. I fortunately haven't had to change mine yet on the Alero, but starters are up there on the list of easy things to replace. Remember, disconnect your battery before dealing with electrical parts like the starter.

Or if it would make you feel more comfortable, you can also go to any local auto parts store and flip through one of the grand am/alero manuals they have on the shelves (Of course the best option would be to buy one of the books... for beginners they have a lot of good info and step by steps for a lot of repairs including starters).

Or the staff at the store should be able to print out a free diagram of it at least.

like stated before, you will short things out if you dont disconnect the negative terminal on your battery before you attempt this
