NEWbie

Hey Guys (and girls),
I am new to this site for about a week now and have already made a friend and made my first buy off a member of this site.
I am the new owner of a 2000 Alero GL (I think), with the 2.4 twin cam DOHC.
I have already done the follwing mods:
Already purchased the flowmaster muffler.
Already outfitted the stock stereo with JVC 6X9's in the rear deck (stock holes)
JVC 5 1/4 in the doors with no pods (looks like crap tho). Gotta redo or buy pods.
1 400 watt interior speaker amp
2 12'' JVC subs running at 850 watts a piece
2 900 watt amps ( 1 pushing each sub)
JVC headunit with the Ipod adapter and the ipod hidden in the glovebox.

I plan on doing the following:
Clear corners
painted bezels (not sure if I am gonna go with dark blue or silver to match the car)
Lowering springs and KYB gas struts
MAYBE an AAS bodykit

Well that is it for only owning the car for 3 days. more to follow later.
You guys (and gals) rock!

If it wasnt for the fact that they are actualy lenses instead of reflectors I would be doing this. However I have found out that when law enforcement sees that you have no amber reflector they automatically think that you have clear bulbs. I have the blue colored bulb that burns orange. When they are shown this, it is funny to watch them walk away pissed off.

I have been using the search button and think that it is starting to hate me because of so much use. However I do have a question on "the big 3." Does this apply to me as I am with the 2.4 instead of the bigger motor? Would I benefit from this upgrade as I am running 3 amps, a power cap, and interior LED's? Also I know the placement of where the 3 cables should go, my questions is...do you just attach a new cable along with the existing one or do you replace the existing one all together? Thanks,

yeah clearing corners..

im still 50/50 on that for two reasons.

1. I think that I'll break my headlights.
2. I'm stubborn and twitchy because I get to anxious sometimes haha

NewbieAlero,
If this is the case, then just go to pull-a-part and get another set of lights. If you do good on them then put them on your car, if you mess them up then you know how to not make the 'same' mistakes you did the first time. LOL
I remember doing my mustang lights, I was the same way till I actually did it.

Don't use the oven! A hair dryer or heat gun is all you need. I have done this several times and no problems.
