I need an opinion

http://www.andysautosport.com/chevro...i00147631.html

would this be a good buy? anyone have it or know someone who does i really don't want to build a custom one out of the plastic Spectre kits, i would like to try and go with something that is less pieces.....

and i searched skimmed a bunch and didn't find option racing intakes

probly no different than any of the ones on ebay. looks like everything you need is there, for about the same price as a cai, or 2 wai kits you would use to make a cai. could probly find something cheaper on ebay, if you really tried. and if that says 95-99 cavalier, i think you need to relocate the hole for the iat sensor or something.

Dood all an intake is is piping, there's no one brand that uses adamantium to make there's better its all alluminum piping u could probably even get an IC pipe set cheaper and make it urself if u know how to use a chopsaw. I've done it before if u get a weapon R or sum other over priced crap ur just payin for the name

K well i really don't trust myself to cut anything up and i know that if i do the make it yourself kit from Spectre then i can custom make it to go around the battery, and down into the fender well to where ever i choose to put the filter... i am just kinda wanting to get input from my fellow modders, as i am building a list to get things before the new engine......

ok so the option racing one is out and i will just have to get two cosmo racing ones on for the 2.4 and one for the 3400 and put them together. i already have one of the spectre pieces its on a filter that i had on the car before i ripped the factory air intake crap out......

and a side note anyone can call me David its just easier that way

Ok...so i got a Spectre and its "shitty plastic peices" pretty sure mines a WAI but it still has a nice deep tone to it and i can feel more power...so enlighten me to why the plastic peices suck?

the spectres have poorer air flow properties because of the multiple pieces make gaps, and also the plastic is not as smooth as metal piping would be

simple...it's cheaper to produce, but they can charge the same amount because their name is on it...

I know it's not significant for our engines, but in a larger build setting it could make a world of difference...and also...the amount you will pay to buy all the pieces will be the same if not more than i'f you went with an ebay intake with a better filter

oh no doubt but if your losing only $5 in price difference between the two I would prob just buy it now and do it now instead of having to wait a few days.

if I had a high horsepower vehicle ( 500 + ) I would want a stanless steel one myself but for a factory 160 hp ( prob a lot less now ) it wouldn't make the difference in the world except cost to make it
