was looking for a technique, found one on gagt though

this working perfect.. no problems.. no codes.. sorry i don't know the pins off hand... i believe it gets slipped between like 44 and 44a.. but don't take me on that cause i did this a long time ago. if you need any more help or need more details let me know and i'll take mine out and look at it and i'll get the exact pins on the relay that you slip it between

Basically get the DRL relay out, it takes a bit of work, i pulled my horn relay to get to it
When you get the relay out, pry the cover off of the relay (it's held on by the plastic tabs, just get in with some tweezers or somethin to hold the case open and pull with pliers gently on the pins
when you get the relay cover off look inside and in idiot terms, you'll see a gap where one piece of metal comes into contact with another (think of a bomb, slide a piece of paper between the contacts, and put it all back together
during the day you can manually control lights, no codes thrown

instead of putting paper down in there I bent the pin over and put the relay back in, no problems and no codes. I'm pretty sure it's pin 88 though. I'll look.

oops my bad, it's pin 87, bend it over and put the relay in, mines been that way for almost 3 years.

yeah but the paper route's just gonna be easier and you don't have to worry about snapping the pin if you ever have to change it back.
and yeah eag that looks right to me if i recall

a buddy of mine thats got a Daytona GP did it for me one night, We were talkin bout it and he said he knew what to do so he did it..... i'm pretty sure he just did the paper route

Because with the newer model cars, the low beams are used for the drls. when you have an HID lighting system, your lights are always on. Also with the DRLs disabled, you are also able to turn your lights to just the parking lights when the ALS is activated at night.

yeah basically that, control
when it gets a bit warmer out i have to get rid of the lights at night as well, as far as drl's i'm sure they were based on safety, and the automatic lights at night for being lazy.
But the night lights come on when I'm up in the morning or just as it get a little dim out. That and they come on and off if the weather passes.

No alerosport...to disable the ACL's, it's a bit more in-depth than just a relay disable. There's 2 ways to do it, both of which are kinda a pita. I think I might go the "lighted tube" route, myself. The biggest setback is getting the dash off, I'm not really excited about doing it, but one of these days I get sick of looking @ them lights on when I didn't TURN them on, and I'll do the job.
