it only affects you at low speeds if you have it on. if you're on the high way, it will not effect anything. kind of worthless.

watched a deal on mythbusters about windows vs a/c. they concluded that upto about 55-60 mph, the windows is the best option for fuel economy and 55 and over, the a/c is the best. so why would you want to cut them off?

I took mine out, the clutch was toasted and it was cheaper to bypass it than replace the compressor. Why replace something i dont use?

Way more than a few pounds, the compressor itself weighs at least 5 lbs. Then all the lines and what not.
Now i havent actually taken it out yet but i did bypass it.
You need a gator back belt, Belt size- 4060610
6pk1550

Then take out the idler pully and take it to autozone and buy a ribbed one the same size and replace it with that.

Then putting the belt back on:
Your belt will go around alt, over p.s. under water pump, then down to the crank. Then istead of going around the A/C your gonna go straight up around tensioner back to the alt.

the Doorman pulley will keep it nice and simple. Makes buying belts easy...lol
