Hey All,

How hard is it to change the windshield washer pump and lines? Any price ideas on how much he pump runs? Salvage yard part?

You can get one at Autozone. They are like 15 bucks. I'm sure you can get the line from there also.

Pretty easy to change out. Just take the tire off and remove the inner fender. The washer fluid res is right there.

Exclamation thanks

Yeah I did a quick autozone check and it was like $18. I broke the line changing my radiator hose. Not sure what part it was when the dealer rep told me the price I went zombie. Said it was a special order part that cost like $300 I was like F*** that I'll use an effing squeegee...They are doing the 100,000 mile service since it was there. These guys are effing amazing. I asked him if the did the wires also with the service he said no but if they are bad they can replace em for like $150 I can get em for $29 wtf lol. See how much they try and rape me for.

That's a dealer for you. You can use rubber vacuum line to fix your broken tube.

The pump is universal within all GM cars. You can easily pocket it out of any GM car at a yard.

yeah I talked to him when I picked up the car. It indeed was $300 for an "OEM" pump.. What a freaking joke no wonder people don't trust the dealer. He said the same thing go get one at autozone for $18.

As a side note...

100,000 service.

Flush and change:
brakes
Coolant
Transmission
Differential
power steering

Change:
Spark Plugs
Air filter
Fuel Filter
transmission filter

adjust timing/idle

Check belts and hoses - none needed thank god.
Lubricate the body components.
Inspect the suspension and steering components.

Fuel induction/injection service

Price $728 and some change

Sounds line have a bad dealer... Or a misunderstanding somewhere. Not all dealers are bad.

Yeah some I would agree with but some I either don't have the skill or would rather pay to avoid lol. Not as easy working upside down under a car or a dash as it used to be. forget about getting up again ROFL..
