Heat/ Defrost

Hello all

My cars defrost works fine front and rear. but it wont switch back to heat if i turn the knob.. the knob turns, but it stays on defrost for all knob settings.
Any tips??

have you ever unhooked the knob??
because theres a little pin type thing that goes into the knob that connects all the wires. that may have not been put back in the little slit that makes it all turn..... just a thought lol

I had mine come loose too, then I cracked it, haha. A new knob assembly is only $7 or so from a dealer.

Mine does this when it's cold out, turn the knob slowly and it will switch after a few seconds

broken wire? burnt out module? any tint put on since last time it worked? they could have cut one of the flat pieces mounted to the rear window by accident, shich would kill the whole thing if so.

^haha take off your passenger c-pillar plastic. its the little black box mounted behind there. like nate said, inspect the plug first to see if it is ok and getting power.

Mine has been broken for a year and haven't fixed it... I'm too lazy to get into my back seat and remove the C-pillar LOL... I'm thinking of getting those spray thingies that remove the fog altogether. Had it on my Jetta and lasted about 3 month.

Yeah, that sounds like a good idea, until I can get the time to fix that module.
